My Services

  • I always work with the nervous system using things like slow, deep pressure, Swedish massage strokes, compression, heat, and holding to relax muscles and stimulate the “rest and digest” parasympathetic nervous system. This can integrate various modalities to achieve individual results.

  • Manual Lymphatic Drainage is a light-touch bodywork technique that moves lymph, also known as interstitial fluid, through your body along specific pathways to reduce swelling, improve immune function, and assist in the body’s natural detoxification process. Dr. Vodder’s method has been studied and proven for over 70 years.

  • Craniosacral Therapy (CST) is a light-touch bodywork modality that works along the central nervous system via looking for and responding to specific patterns in the body. Sam is trained in biomechanical craniosacral therapy which uses light-touch manipulation to initiate change in the musculoskeletal system.

  • Doing bodywork with the understanding of EDS and hypermobility, plus the chronic constellation means considering extra things like bolstering, pillows, and props to allow your body to rest as fully, and comfortably, as it is able. It also utilizes techniques to avoid over-stretching or twisting joints while relaxing over-worked musculature around them. This allows us to work within limits to achieve longer-lasting results.

  • Understanding emotional responses to physical stimuli is critical to creating a safe place to relax. This leads me to understand each individual’s needs and moving slower and with extra communication and consent. If you have questions or concerns prior to treatment, please schedule a consult so we can talk ahead of session.

  • There is no one-size-fits-all treatment, and you are no different! Every body is a new slate and each session is an opportunity to try something new or work on what works best; integrating manual bodywork and energy movement may be right for you.
